Conversion from Martini Henry IC1 Artillery Carbine.

Originally  made without wings to the foresight with the classification as M-M CC MkII,  Identifying features is the original extended nose cap of the mother Martini Henry IC1 Artillery carbine. The fore-end is prepared for the leather sight protector. notable with a new .303 pattern breech block to a specification of 13.4.1892.  In total 850 were made by the HRB Co..

The M-M CC MkII* pattern was sealed on 17.6.1893, the variant having wings fitted tot the foresight. Most existing MkII patterns were sent to Sparkbrook for conversion.
