Weapon Overview
With the introduction of the Morris Sub Calibre aiming tube in Nov 1883, a special ammunition was made. The solid drawn bottle shaped cartridge contained 3.25 grains of Curtis & Harvey No2 diamond black powder. The bullet was a 37 grain lead slug. The Morris ammunition was suitable for .450 & .303 aiming tubes. Shown alongside a conventional MKIII cartridge.
