Weapon Overview
The MKIII Muzzle protector was introduced on December 10th 1885, this pattern had no hole in the end cap as the cleaning jag (approved for the Enfield Martini) had been re-designed and required no centerlng in the bore when used. The new pattern cap also prevented water from entering the bore. Often found with E-M designation scored through.
