Weapon Overview
With the introduction of the Magazine Lee Metford Rifle Mk1, a new pattern jag had been designed for the small .303" bore. Unlike previous martini arms which had a rod holder in the nosecap, The new pattern cleaning rod had a reverse threaded tip which accepted the jag, but also screwed into a corresponding threaded insert in the forend to retain it in position.
